Students investigate how substances move into and out of cells using the PhET interactive activity Traffic Control: How Cells Manage Molecular Movement. Through exploration, students learn how cell membranes regulate movement, compare passive and active transport, and explain the roles of diffusion and osmosis in maintaining homeostasis.
