CK-12 is an excellent online source of high quality free interactive textbooks, videos, exercises, flashcards and real world applications. The one we are using here is about calculating interest.

Preparation

  1. Check the website to ensure it is not blocked at your site.
  2. Read through the lesson plan.
  3. Print and make copies of any handouts.

How-To

Preview the lesson, Calculating Interest

To have students access the lesson, select the link at the top, Assign to Class. CK-12 will assist you with assessing your students. If you use Canvas, Schoology or Google Classroom you can assign this lesson through the LMS and the grading will appear in your gradebook. If you want to track your student learning but do not have one of these LMS, you can create a class through CK-12. To learn how to do this select How to Create a Class
