Activity Description

Create printable worksheets for your literacy students to practice handwriting using Spelling City.

Preparation

  1. You must register on the site (there is a free version) in order to save your word lists and access many of the site's features. You must provide your name and a valid e-mail address.
  2. You will be prompted to upgrade to a premium membership, but you may decline by selecting the link "No thanks. I'm OK with the free version for now."
  3. Check your e-mail and complete your registration by selecting the link provided.
  4. If you want to create your own lists, you may do so by following the "Creating Lists in Spelling City" document above, or you can use some of the pre-made lists at the site.
  5. After creating your list, select the "Handwriting Worksheet" link under the activities group, select the desired formatting for the worksheet, and select the "Print Worksheet" link.
  6. Print the desired number of copies.

  1. Distribute the handwriting worksheets to the students and have them practice.
