Activity Description
Students learn how to use Evernote as a digital organization tool for managing notes, tasks, and information. They create a class to-do list and a personal to-do list while exploring features such as note-taking, notebooks, tags, images, and web clipping. Students discover how digital tools can help them stay organized at school, work, and home.

Preparation
- Create an account then (see instructions ) for what you can do with Evernote.
- Preview video to introduce Evernotes .
- If you have a Smartphone or a tablet, you may want to download the apps for those devices, so you will be familiar with the process and can help students do the same.
- Preview the Evernote Web site and any apps for smartphones or tablets.
- Use the Example Document: Getting Started with A ToDo List to teach the steps for creating a to do list. From the list, have students go to Evernote to create a To-Do-List for class events for the upcoming month.
Teacher Tips

- Demonstrate each step before asking students to complete it independently.
- Pair students who are comfortable with technology with those who need additional support.
- Encourage students to install the mobile app if they have smartphones.
- Provide screenshots or printed instructions for students who need extra guidance.
- If account creation is difficult, use a teacher-created demonstration account.
