Included are chapters on the initial Economic Opportunity Act and the Adult Education Act of 1964 and l966, amendments in the ten years from 1968-1978, the 1979-1990 years of funding and enrollment growth, the National Literacy Act of 1990, and the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. There are seven appendices and extensive references.
