Abstract:
In the workplace, literacy programs are viewed as components of "training," and as such needs to be evaluated differently from other adult education programs. An effective program demonstrates positive impact both on organizational needs and on those of individual participants. This paper reviews the definition and purposes of program evaluation, and presents evaluation strategies related to workplace literacy programs. References are included.
