Workplace-based literacy programs take place at the work site or at a location designated by the work site, in response to needs identified by staff. Those initiating the program often expect significant changes in the workplace. Included in the digest are types and essential features of programs, needs assessment, program design, curricula, and materials, and learner assessment. References are given.
