Abstract:
This is testimony by the Vice Principal at Mt. Diablo Adult Education at a public hearing before the State of California Assembly Select Committee on California's Women. Ms. Durkee summarizes the services provided by adult education to women of all ages in the ten authorized areas of instruction. She also describes several special programs which serve the unique needs of women at Mt. Diablo and other agencies in California. She makes a case for recognizing the gender specific needs of women and meeting those needs with targeted support services.
