Abstract:
The blueprint is part of a project to develop and implement a tutor training program to provide tutoring services to adults functioning below the ninth grade level. Volunteers were trained to work with program participants. Included are how to get started as a tutor, an overview of typical clients, how to get acquainted with a client, tutoring procedures, teaching decoding skills, and a variety of forms.
