Abstract:
Tech prep, an articulation partnership between secondary vocational-technical schools and postsecondary institutions, is a model developed to help people prepare for careers demanding technical knowledge. The articulation effort involves the coordination of curricula across two or more institutions to ensure that graduates possess the prerequisite knowledge and skill required for employment in a chosen occupation. The digest explores the reasons for tech prep, the model, and strategies for success. References are included.
