Abstract:
At the request of the USDE's Office of Vocational and Adult Education, leaders in adult education convened in 2006 to open a dialog on postsecondary transitions for adult basic education students. The proceedings include edited transcripts of two round table discussions, "why are we here" and "where are we going," a summary with recommended next steps, closing remarks, and references. Appendices detail panelist and presenter biographies, a participant list, and a draft report of a demonstration project.
