Abstract:
This comprehensive Study Circle Guide was revised to include the second phase of NCSALL's research on adult student persistence. "It explores what the research says about adult student persistence and ideas for how to apply what is learned in classrooms and programs." This Guide is intended for training practitioners that work in adult basic education programs, including teachers, program directors, counselors, volunteers, and others. Notes for facilitation, agendas, and printed materials and handouts needed to facilitate training sessions are included.
