Abstract:
This strategic plan of the U.S. Department of Education outlines the education goals that are intended in the years 2002-2007 to implement the "No Child Left Behind Act" which reformed federal education policy. The six goals include: create a culture of achievement; improve student achievement; develop safe schools and strong character; transform education into an evidence-based field; enhance the quality of and access to postsecondary and adult education; and establish management excellence.
