Abstract:
The CA State Department of Education funded seven programs to provide literacy instruction and basic skills remediation to homeless adults, within the context of increasing self esteem. This report reviews the effectiveness of the programs and the identified successful practices established by the programs. It also details three main categories of obstacles to program implementation.
