Abstract:
Report of a project intended to identify the learning and coping strategies used by learning disabled adults for reading, spelling, and specific life-skills oriented reading/writing tasks. Findings are presented in the following areas: (1) motivations for participating in basic education or literacy programs; (2) perceived learning strengths and self-planned learning projects; (3) strategies used, and (4) social support networks.
