Abstract:
Correctional education is a generic term describing a wide range of educational activities that take place in institutional and community correctional settings. This Overview provides an introduction to correctional education through a discussion of the following aspects: trends in administration, equity and legal issues, the learning handicapped adult offender, vocational education, and postsecondary education.
