Abstract:
CAAL commissioned this report by CASAS as part of the effort to build understanding and improve the role of community colleges in adult education and literacy. Data and analysis of several variables of community college service provision in five states -- California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Iowa, and Oregon -- are included. Recommendations for further research are listed throughout the report and in a summary at the end.
