Abstract:
This brief addresses and summarizes how California evaluates the effectiveness of adult education and literacy activities funded by WIA Title II in 2005-2006 and provides data on the three years of WIA by provider type. It then summarizes four sets of findings from local agency responses to the 2005-2006 Survey of WIA Title II Programs in California. Twelve recommendations to the California Department of Education are listed in the areas of data, program management, program resources, research and dissemination, and collaboration and coordination.
