ABOUT OTAN TRAINING: Workshop Descriptions

Workshop title Putting English to Work in Moodle (PETW) 
Workshop description The entire Putting English to Work series – 68 half-hour episodes, along with all corresponding workbook exercises and unit assessments – are available online, easily accessible on computers, tablets and cell phones. Join this webinar to experience the course from the teacher and the student’s perspective. View how to manage the online class, review student work and grades, and discover strategies to keep student engagement and retention high. 
Session length 1.5 hours 
Format Webinars: Synchronous online events of short duration (1-2 hours) in which subject matter experts present information.

Minimum System Requirements for Participating in Online Workshops:

  • Broadband Internet connection (DSL, Cable modem or faster, no dial-up).
  • Computer with speakers or headphones (some classes require microphones too).
  • Active e-mail account through registration for the course as an OTAN member.
  • Some workshops have other special requirements, please read the workshop descriptions carefully.
