Keep your skills current and relevant with education technology, blended learning, distance learning, formative assessments, communications, and more. Join OTAN and take a quick look at the tools, techniques and tips specifically created for busy adult ed. teachers. Every month a new topic will be covered where participants get tips, videos, articles, and individual questions answered!

MAY 2019: Free Adult Education Apps and Resources

This OTT will cover apps for IOS and Android devices as well as websites that can be used in any adult ed classroom to provide students with extended learning opportunities outside the classroom. ESL Apps will help with listening, speaking and reading skills, CTE related apps will cover soft skills needed in jobs via game simulation. Citizenship apps will cover speaking, listening, reading and writing preparation for the Citizenship exam and more apps that will make your life in the classroom much easier with the use of tablets!

The OTAN Tech Talks are open forum where any adult educator or staff can present, unlike the OTAN Webinars which are hosted and facilitated by certified OTAN Trainers and Subject Matter Experts. Due to the "open forum" model of the OTTs, certificates of attendance will NOT be awarded to attendees.

Minimum System Requirements for Participating in Online Workshops:

  • Broadband Internet connection (DSL, Cable modem or faster, no dial-up).
  • Computer with speakers or headphones (some classes require microphones too).
  • Active e-mail account through registration for the course as an OTAN member.
  • Some workshops have other special requirements, please read the workshop descriptions carefully.
