Google Classroom for Adult Education (1)
Google Classroom is a free Blended Learning system that allows educators to create online classes where they can then enroll students, distribute, grade or return assignments, communicate with individuals or entire classes, send feedback, and see everything in one place. With an EDU or public Google account, Classroom is available to anyone in any browser and is even a downloadable App on iOS and Android devices. .
This workshop will cover the basics of Classroom and includes: steps of creating classes, assignments and conversation streams, enrolling students, tracking and grading assignment status, calendaring and due dates, weighting grades, as well as tips for getting the most out of an online Google Classroom. At the end of the workshop all participants will have created a Classroom, enrolled students, created assignments, announcements and questions, graded assignments, responded to students and created activities using Google forms.
- Participants are requested to bring a class syllabus a few assignments to include in your new Google classroom. (assignments you bring can be paper or digital.)
- Participants must have either a Public Google (@gmail.com) or G-Suites EDU account (@district.org)
