We recently wrote about the EdTech Evidence Exchange and the never-ending struggle to maximize spending when purchasing edtech tools to use in classrooms and programs. In that vein, the EdSurge Product Index, which has been around for about a decade, has recently received a major upgrade and is in beta as the site continues to be refined with additional features.

According to the site, "... educators will be able to find the most complete, reliable and up-to-date information available on learning technology products." The main feature is a product search tool that can be used to identify edtech tools according to different filters: Audience and Users, Product Categories, Subjects and Standards, Features, Tech Specifications, and Price. As a user identifies promising tools, they can add them to their list. There is also a Decision Guide that can help a user compare the tools side-by-side to decide which tool might be the best choice among similar tools.

We encourage adult educators to explore the EdSurge Product Index as teachers and administrators continue to search for the most effective edtech tools for use at adult ed agencies, whether in in-person, online, or blended learning environments. (We are also heartened to see that some of the filters use Adult Education as way to narrow searches!) Let us know if we can help you in your search for edtech tools that you can effectively apply in instruction.
