In this activity, students create and print a customized calendar for the year that identifies important school and work-related dates, birthdays, and other important occasions.

This is curriculum to use with parents and children to teach both about financial matters such as budgeting, shopping, spending wisely, and money management. It has video/audio components as well as a fully developed teacher guide, lesson plans and student materials. There are four sections with four lessons in each section.

Students take an online quiz to see what they know about natural disasters around the world and watch a video from the Web site on earthquakes and answer questions. As a follow-up activity, students can be assigned to use the Internet to gather information and write a paragraph about how to survive a particular natural disaster.

Students learn about a woman influential in history or the women's rights movement, read and take notes, and write a report and/or make a presentation. This project can be used during the month of March, which is Women's History Month.

You can browse their dictionary, you can look by category, they have a "word of the day" feature, and even an iPhone app for 99¢. Very useful tool in keeping up with technology for you and your students.
