ESL: English as a Second Language

In this activity, students will use the Internet to select or are assigned to find information about a fantastic place in the USA, such as a national park or monument, take notes, and create a visual aide (a Word document or PowerPoint with images). Students will then copy/paste their assignment into an AI application for revision and edit suggestions. As a class the revisions are weighed, discussed, examined and determined it they are useful or not. Discuss the value of AI.

Wolffram Alpha is a search engine that compares anything. In this activity students will work on using comparatives.

Use this online mini-lesson—which contains reading, vocabulary, listening, conversation, and more—with intermediate or advanced students when teaching about the topics of health, injuries, accidents, health care, and medical emergencies.

Using the Web site Word It Out, students will create a word cloud from a famous quote or proverb. The site will scramble the words. Then, students will share their word clouds with classmates working to unscramble the quotes or proverbs.
