ABOUT OTAN TRAINING: Workshop Descriptions
|Workshop title||Moodle v2: Creating a Course Web Site Online Part 1 (3 hours)|
Have you thought about using Moodle to create a Web site for your class, or teach an online class? Moodle is an online learning management system where you can post assignments, have an online discussion, and organize documents for your students. You can also create quizzes and track student results. This workshop will introduce you to the Moodle system and basic functions to assist you in creating a course Web site for your class. As part of this workshop, you will receive your own Moodle course shell from OTAN.
Prerequisites: Basic computer and Internet skills.

|Format||Workshops: Synchronous online trainings, or series of trainings, in which facilitator and participants interact by voice or chat.|

Minimum System Requirements for Participating in Online Workshops:
- Broadband Internet connection (DSL, Cable modem or faster, no dial-up).
- Computer with speakers or headphones (some classes require microphones too).
- Active e-mail account through registration for the course as an OTAN member.
