Using Augmented Reality in Adult Education

Description

Explore the world of Augmented Reality (AR) in this educator-focused session. A presentation will show and project how AR tools can be used. During a workshop session, attendees will have a hands-on experience with a variety of AR tools that enhance learning.

Apps may include but are not precluded to: Catchy, Merge Cube Explorer, and Farsight XR. Historical perspectives will be gained with GettysburgAR and human anatomy can be taught through Virtuali-tee and Victor the Torso. Other AR tools allow engagement with environmental topics using WWF Forests and WWF Free Rivers.

This title is in-person only and cannot be scheduled as an online session

Prerequisites
  • All participants must have basic computer skills and a valid email address.
  • Additional requirements may apply depending on the apps and topics requested for this session.

OTAN Certificates of Attendance are awarded only for workshop sessions to those that are pre-registered and attend at least 75% of the scheduled time.
