Celebrate Digital Citizenship Week 2022

Posted on 10/06/2022

October 17 to 21 is Digital Citizenship Week

Digital Citizenship brings awareness to internet safety, media balance and social media. Developing safe online habits for students is a school and family issue. Covering topics like online safety, healthy media habits, and creating boundaries for device use are just a few of the many topics available. These are great conversation starters for parents as well as for people new to the internet. This family toolkit can be a great way to begin.

Teaching Internet Site Credibility also has an important place as a digital citizen. Stanford University offers a free Civic Online Reasoning curriculum collection for educators. This resource helps learn how to evaluate online information.
