OTAN Upcoming Activities – Week of 3/7

OTAN provides activities and resources to support our adult education colleagues. (All times below are PST.)

  • Thanks to everyone who was a part of OTAN's Technology and Distance Learning Symposium 2022! As we mentioned throughout the conference, we recorded all of the sessions, and we hope to share as many of those recordings as possible with the field soon. More to come!

  • On Thursday, March 10 at 1:00pm, Barry Bakin will present Easy Microsoft Projects 3 – Forms. Participants will be shown simple project-based activities using Microsoft Forms which serve the dual purpose of language practice and learning basic functions of common software programs.   • On Friday, March 18 at 12:00pm, OTAN staff will facilitate a presentation on It's Not Too Early to Think About the 2022-23 Continuous Improvement Plan! This session will cover CIP best practices, including Do's and Don'ts, creation of relevant improvement goals and supporting activities, CIP team creation, data collection, and a review of the CIP plan document and evaluation rubric.   • The nomination period for the 2022 Adult Education Students Succeed Program is open! OTAN invites nominations of adult education learners who are successful as a result of the education received at California adult education agencies.
