Monday, August 28, 12-1:00 pm | Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lunch Break | New to AI? Scared of AI? Whether you are new or have some prior experience, our lunch break welcomes teachers of all skill levels. Together, we will navigate the topic of AI, exchange best practices, and leverage collective wisdom to empower ourselves and our adult learners for the digital future. Bring your lunch, bring your appetite for knowledge, a curiosity for technology, and a willingness to collaborate, as we approach this exciting journey of exploring AI's potential in adult education.

Wednesday, August 30, 1-2:00 pm | Using an ESL App to Drive CASAS & TABE Growth | This interactive session introduces adult educators to a smartphone-based blended learning program for ESL and ABE classes. Find out how learners prepare at home using their smartphones to complete a rigorous series of lessons with audiovisual instruction and interactive games for practice with immediate feedback. Participants of all levels of expertise can learn about this new high-quality learning app for smartphones.

Route 66 Sign The Rural Coaching Project creates an opportunity to partner adult education agencies in sparsely populated areas with an OTAN coach. This project aims to connect technology resources with California’s rural educators. Interested? Email us at support@otan.us.

Wednesday, September 6, 1-2:00 pm | Teach Digital Literacy and Work Life Skills With an App-Based Course | This interactive session introduces adult educators to a smartphone-based digital literacy and work life skills app. Find out how students learn on their smartphones with Learning Upgrade's rigorous series of lessons. All lessons use audiovisual instruction and interactive games for practice with immediate feedback. The presenters will demonstrate the app and show best practices for deployment in blended and distance learning classes.

Friday, September 8, 1-2:30 pm | BEST Course Orientation (Fall) | This course - Building an EdTech Strategy Toolkit (BEST) - is designed to walk instructors through a thoughtful process of designing strategic, sustainable instructional routines that leverage educational technology. At this orientation, facilitators will discuss course details, timelines, content, participant expectations and answer any questions. Registration will be available at the orientation.

Tuesday, September 12, 12-1:00 pm | Canvas Q & A for Administrators and Teachers | Bring any questions about Canvas to our Instructure guest expert to be answered during this session. Once registered, participants will receive access to our Q&A document to log in questions ahead of time or in the moment. Questions will be answered in order of placement on this document
